  1. Flag Down Loose Ball push (time serving)? – April 22, 2019

In previous forum, I believe Question #9,

A1 is slashed by B1, flag down, A1 loses ball and ball is loose. B2 pushes A2. Rule 7 Section 8 says that whistle should be blown upon second foul unless scoring play is imminent. B1 serves 1 minute for slashing and B2 serves 30 second for pushing . The answer given on #9 said that B2 doesn't serve 30 seconds. Please clarify as the 2019 rulebook clearly states that B2 would serve 30 seconds for pushing. Talked to many different refs on this issue and I think there is still confusion

  2. Illegal stick – April 21, 2019

A coach asks for a stick check at a dead ball situation after a face off. The coach requests the stick check on the stick used during face off. The stick is clearly bent, twisted, and contorted from numerous face offs during play. The stick was check at the beginning of the game and conformed to all requirements. At the stick check, the measurements from top to stop we’re significantly less than 10 inches. The stick was not broken or cracked. We issued a 3minute stick violation and removed from the game. What is the correct ruling? Is there anything in the rule book that pertains to deformation of the stick during play? The head coach has asked for multiple stick checks of F/O sticks during games which I have been involved?

  3. Multiple players in the penalty box – April 16, 2019

Team A commits a hit to the head. Result 2 -minute non-releasable foul. Team A then commits a slash and illegal body check. Two more players in the box for 1 minute each. Goal is score with with 15 seconds left on the non-releasable foul and 35 seconds remain on the other two fouls. I know the non-releasable foul is not released but what about the other two players, are they released???????

  4. Mouth Protector – April 12, 2019

If the player is not wearing a mouth protector during play it is illegal procedure and play stops. In all cases the ball is turned over but in some cases I've seen the player not sit (30 second technical). The rule book is not clear on whether the player sits or not. What is the official ruling?

  5. Goal Allowed or Disallowed – April 10, 2019

A1 is in front of the goal. A2 passes to A1 who jumps straight up, catches the ball. In one motion, A1 shoots and the ball enters the goal. Before landing A1 is pushed from behind by B1. The force is enough that A1 lands in the crease after the ball has entered the goal.
    Good Goal or No Goal?

  6. Loose ball violation on the Face-off – April 9, 2019

A loose ball violation occurs on the face-off prior to either team gaining possession. Before the restart, Team A player leaves the restraining area to either sub through the box or attempts to ride. Isn't this illegal procedure & the player should be penalized, not simply told to return to the "box"?

  7. Visiting Jersey color – April 9, 2019

Tough to explain without a picture, but St. John Vianney has BARELY grey away jerseys with gold numbers. It is tough to tell on a quick count who is wearing white versus grey. Is there a rule on this? In talking to other officials, some asked them to wear their pinnies during play.

  8. Stop play for player safety?? – April 8, 2019

Player Team A is quickly clearing the ball over midfield and has an unsettled situation and looks like they have a good chance to score. While in transition player Team B legally checks Player Team A and his glove flies off. Do you kill it immediately or allow the team to continue with a good scoring opportunity?

  9. Eye Shade – April 6, 2019

In an effort to have some consistency, how are we treating players wearing face paint that is not simply a solid stroke? As one of the most useless rules in the book, nevertheless, it's there. Ignore it, make the players remove it, or is it situational?

  10. Pass on Goal – April 5, 2019

A1 is just below GLE and takes a "shot" on goal. Being that the shot originated behind the goal line, it's not considered a legal shot. A1's shot -- for lack of a better term -- hits the post and ricochets toward the sideline, with players from A and B racing for position to gain possession when the ball goes out.

Because it's not a legal shot, it shouldn't matter who is closer when the ball goes out of bounds; rather, it's just like an errand pass from A1 to A2 that goes out... B takes possession when play resumes.

    Right?
