Illegal stick April 21, 2019 World Games 2014 0 Forum Questions A coach asks for a stick check at a dead ball situation after a face off. The coach requests the stick check on the stick used during face off. The stick is clearly bent, twisted, and contorted from numerous face offs during play. The stick was check at the beginning of the game and conformed to all requirements. At the stick check, the measurements from top to stop we’re significantly less than 10 inches. The stick was not broken or cracked. We issued a 3minute stick violation and removed from the game. What is the correct ruling? Is there anything in the rule book that pertains to deformation of the stick during play? The head coach has asked for multiple stick checks of F/O sticks during games which I have been involved?
