NJILOA Rules Interpretations
Keith Glock was appointed Rules Interpreter for the state of New Jersey in November 2018, taking over for NJ Lacrosse Hall of Fame member Tom Carr, who served in that position for more than two decades.
Glock, who began officiating in 2001, has continued Carr’s practice of forming a rules committee made up of experienced officials from all areas of the state. That committee’s charge is to service all members of the NJILOA, as well as coaches in New Jersey, by developing thoughtful responses to questions which are based in the rules and the spirit of the game.
As important as basing those answers on language from the NFHS rulebook, is issuing guidance on applying those rules in a common sense way which keeps the game fair, applies not only the letter of the rule, but also the spirit of the rule.
The members of the NJILOA Rules Committee are: Derek Pukash, Paul Tyma, Matt Riti, Jurrien Kratz, Rick McCarrick, Chuck Karns, Dave DuBan.
