Player acting like a goalie who is not properly equipped April 21, 2021 World Games 2014 0 Forum Questions Hi - In the last rules meeting you covered the point of waving off the flag if we could not kill the play before the ball has been shot. The reasoning was that this was a conduct foul - thus a technical foul - and so the scoring of the goal (at least for the first occasion of this foul by the offending team) waves off the flag. My question is since this is an ‘unsportsmanlike’ foul, does this count towards the two unsportsmanlike fouls resulting in an ejection for thst player? How about if the flag is not waved off? Or if the same player commits this foul twice - is that player ejected by rule? Play must be suspended immediately whenever this occurs, unless a shot is already on its way to the goal when the player enters the crease. If that shot goes into the net, the scoring of the goal causes the technical foul to be waved off. Subsequent occurrences by that player's team are to be penalized as releasable unsportsmanlike-conduct fouls. Such releasable fouls do not count towards player ejection, but the minutes are counted against a player's maximum of five minutes of personal-foul penalty time and can contribute to a player potentially "fouling out."
