Faceoff April 16, 2022 World Games 2014 0 Forum Questions All season I have been adjusting the players on the face off: move to the left a bit, please get your hand off the plastic, etc. Nothing huge, but minor adjustments to ensure a legal position. A coach is insistent that we are not supposed to make ANY adjustments: if a player doesn't go down perfectly legal, we are to take the ball away. I don't recall that being said in any meeting. Can you please clarify? Question File Add new DuBan's Answer: Visual Text You should be adjusting the players to get them into the legal position to face-off. It is good practice to remind players in the pregame face-off conference that the officials may give the ball away if an instruction has to be given several times. That way, nobody can claim surprise if the official awards the ball for repeated delays. Kratz's Answer: Visual Text McCarrick's Answer: Visual Text By rule you are required to adjust.
