New Jersey Interscholastic Lacrosse Officials Association
The mission of the New Jersey Interscholastic Lacrosse Officials Association (NJILOA) is to promote and
assist the game of interscholastic boy's lacrosse in the state of New Jersey by providing (a) recruitment, training and maintenance of a membership of qualified and competent officials over the age of
18; (b) guidelines for professional conduct for officials and overall improvement of the game; (c) game assignments for officials at all levels of high school (and selected middle school) play. The
Association will at all times act without regard to race, sex, color, creed, sexual orientation or any other lawfully protected qualification.

NJILOA Election Results: Congratulations to John Hennberry and Bob McGrath who were elected to serve as NJILOA President and Vice-President
for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Also re-elected to the NJILOA board was Tony Damelio and Charles Talley. Filling the at-large board position vacated by Bob McGrath was Keith Glock, the third highest vote
recipient. Keith was appointed by newly elected President John Henneberry. Best of luck to the new board and a special thanks goes out to Kevin Woods who has served as NJILOA President for the past
four years. Kevin will remain on the NJILOA board as President emeritus.
2010 NJILOA End of Season Banquet: The 2010 end of season banquet will be held on Friday, June 4, 6:30pm-11:00pm at the The Pegasus

NJILOA Rule Interpretation Meeting:
LOCATION HAS CHANGED. The NJILOA Rule interpretation Meeting, scheduled for Sunday, February 21st at 10:30am has been moved (same
time) from the Double Tree Hotel in Somerset, NJ to The Imperia in Somerset, NJ. Take the same exit off of Route 287, click here for directions.
NJILOA Packages:The NJILOA packages with your NJSIAA membership card, NJSIAA patch, NFHS Rule Book and 2010 Meeting dates will be

NJILOA Annual Rules Exam: Once again, the NJILOA has elected to use Exam Professor to host our annual exam. We highly
recommend that all officials go to the website: http://www.examprofessor.com/accounts/njiloa.cfm, take the sample NJILOA Sample Exam and familiarize yourself with Exam Professor (no user-name and password required for the sample exam) as you
prepare for the annual exam. Prior to taking the exam, you can also download a copy of the 2010 Annual Rules exam by clicking here.
NJILOA Official to be inducted into NJ Lacrosse Hall of Fame: The 13th Annual New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be
held January 31st at Neilson Dining Hall at Rutgers University. The Hall of Fame Class of 2009 includes NJILOA Official Michael “Mickey’ Corcoran. The event will feature a Cocktail Reception from 5-6
pm and Dinner and Awards Presentation from 6-8pm. The price is $65 per person. For further information and invitations please contact Peter Stanton, NJLF Hall of Fame Chairperson by email at

NJILOA 2009/2010 Resolutions Committee Report: The Executive Board asks all Members to review the Resolutions Committee Report from the 2009-2010 Resolutions Committee. At the February 21, 2010 Breakfast Meeting (10:30am start) the Members will be asked to vote on three amendments to the NJIOLA Constitution. The balance of the Report addresses (a) the procedure for Members to propose change, (b) other recommendations sent by the Resolutions Committee to the Executive Board for vote and (c) several topics considered by the Resolutions Committee that were tabled in light of ongoing changes currently being implemented by the Executive Board. The discussion in the Resolutions Committee Report is particularly important for all Members to understand how their ideas and proposals can be voiced in order to ensure that the Members always have a voice in the NJIOLA. We look forward to seeing you on February 21, 2010.
NJILOA Breakfast and Clinic Dates Set:
The 2010 Rule interpretation Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2010 (10:30am-1:30pm) at the Doubletree Executive Suites in
Somerset, NJ. This meeting is mandatory and all active NJILOA Offocials must attend. The NJILOA Clinic will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 (1:00pm-4:00pm) at St. Joseph’s HS, Metuchen, NJ. Please
save these dates. The clinic is for officials with five years or less experience in the NJILOA. Please note, 2nd year officials must attend a pre-clinic session from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
NJILOA Now Accepting Cadet Applications for the 2010 Season: The NJILOA has decided to revise their cadet training program starting
this coming season, which will include 2 years of instructional training. Classes will be held in (4) locations and will begin in December and January. Please click on the Cadets Info
tab on the left navigation bar to go to our Cadet web page and find out the details on our upcoming classes.
